SUNSPOTS (with hooded oriole), Original oil on stretched linen. 40"H x 20"W. The composition of this painting ( painted on a heavy, rough, linen) is typical of my work. The design is dramatic and the bird not conspicuous. The hooded oriole, a bird of the Western U.S., often builds its nest in palms such as this.
