QUIET WATER (Snowy egret), Oil on stretched canvas, 38"H x 26"W. I watched this egret fishing in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina, in the shadow of the aircraft carrier, Yorktown. The carrier is now part of the Patriot's Point Maritime Museum. The title "Quiet Water" refers not only to the egret but to the moth-balled aircraft carrier a few dozen yards from the bird.
